In Helsinki, this is the result of the municipal election:>the biggest party is right-wing>second-, third- and fourth-biggest are left-wing (counting SDP as left-wing)>fifth-biggest is fascists (yes, I'm calling them what they are)
Basically nothing unexpected or out of the ordinary, really, but thankfully the Finns Party didn't get a landslide like I was worried would happen. They did grow the most, but I hope not enough to start changing things their way.
Where I live in particular (not going to dox myself), the results were confusing. As usual here, leftist parties dominated the results, but somehow the second most votes went to a fascist with a million hate crime convictions. I guess it's just because leftists voted for all the gazillion different leftists but pretty much all rightists voted for that one guy.Just thought I'd post in case someone cares about politics in Finland (or I guess Helsinki, it's where I live so that's why it's the results I'm posting about). Not trying to start a super serious discussion about it or anything, though.
